Arrival & Dismissal

In the 2022–23 school year, health and safety protocols may be in place during arrival and dismissal. It is imperative that all community members know and follow these protocols. Visit our COVID-19 webpage to learn more.

Arrival
- The school day begins at 8:45 a.m. for all students.
- Drop-off begins at 8:15 a.m.
- Please do not arrive for drop-off before 8:15 a.m., unless you are dropping off a child for Before School, which starts at 7:30 a.m. Students in prekindergarten through 4th grade must not be left unattended.

Enter and exit through Harewood Gate. Follow the carpool lane to the Main Entrance. Pull all the way up to the front of the carpool line. Do not exit your vehicle. Staff will help students with exiting their vehicles and then show students where to go. |
Driving: Parking and Walking to the School Building |
Enter and exit through Harewood Gate. Park only in Lot 5. Walk to the school building using crosswalks. Staff members will show your child where to go. |
Walking or Biking |
Enter and exit through Eagle Gate. Proceed to the Main Entrance. Staff members will show your child where to go. |
Families Escorting Children into School |
For the first two weeks of school only, parents may escort their children to the classroom. Follow the procedures for parking and walking up to the building or walking or biking. |
No family members are permitted to enter the school building, except during the first two weeks of school.

We offer an enrichment program every Friday, starting at 1:00 p.m.; registration is required. We will share registration information before the start of the 2022–23 school year.
Outdoor Dismissal: When Weather Allows

Dismissal: Inclement Weather
In the case of inclement weather, students are picked up either inside or outside the school building, depending on the Creative Minds COVID level. Staff members will be on hand to direct families.

During inclement-weather dismissal, please follow these procedures:
- If driving, park only in Lot 5.
- If picking up a prekindergarten student, you may park or stand in front of the school building, space permitting. If there are no open spaces in front of the school you must circle through the carpool lane or park in Lot 5 and walk to the building.
- When waiting, please follow any COVID-19 protocols that may be in place and make sure not to congregate around doorways.
Inclement-weather dismissal takes longer than our usual dismissal process. Thank you for being patient.
COVID-19 Protocols
All visitors to campus must follow the Creative Minds COVID level with regards to masking.
- Wearing a mask indoors is required when the Creative Minds COVID level is medium or high.
- Wearing a mask outdoors is required when the Creative Minds COVID level is high.
- Indoor and outdoor masking is also required for anyone participating in the test-to-stay program and for individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the previous 10 days.
The COVID level will be shared in ParentSquare every Friday.
