Nutrition And Wellness

Creative Minds International PCS participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). NSLP assists schools with meeting meal costs while providing students with nutritious meals during the school day. Creative Minds serves breakfast, lunch, and an after-school snack. We partner with Top Spanish, a local catering company to offer standards, vegetarians, or dairy-free meals. Breakfast is available FREE of charge to all students.

Wellness

Children’s diet has a significant influence on their ability to focus and learn. A healthy digestive system positively affects the nervous system and increases attention and mental clarity. At Creative Minds International PCS, we teach children about health and nutrition in the curriculum.

We also promote student wellness through opportunities for movement and exercise throughout the school day. Activities include yoga, dance, sensory integration work, and physically active games.

Our students benefit from outdoor learning in our natural play space, which features a classroom, art studio, and school garden. The Creative Families Association sponsored the Creative Minds natural play space.

Purchasing School Lunch

Lunch is available to students at a cost of $5.25. Families may qualify for free and reduced-price meals based on their household income by filling out a Free and Reduced Meal Application (FARM). FARM applications will be completed online. Link https://creativemindspcs.familyportal.cloud/. Families should watch the “How-to-Videos” and use the same email they provided during enrollment because the information they gave during enrollment was imported into Meal Magic. It’s one application per household.
In addition, After-School Snack is served to all students attending the after-school program, free of charge.

We strive to provide students with high-quality and nutritious no-or low-cost meals each school day. However, unpaid charges place a significant financial burden on our school. Our meal charge policy complies with federal requirements and provides oversight and accountability for collecting outstanding student meal balances. Discounted or Free Lunch

Creative Minds participates in the National School Lunch Program, which provides nutritionally balanced lunches at low cost or no cost to students who qualify based on family income. To receive discounted or free lunch for their children, families must fill out a free and reduced-price meals (FARM) application:

Return completed applications to the front desk at school or email them to frontdesk@creativemindspcs.org. Note that families must reapply to FARM each year.

Eligibility is based on the total number of people in your household and the total income. The income guidelines for SY 26-27 are outlined here.

USDA Nondiscrimination Statement
