Creative Minds International Public Charter School is a tuition-free school for children in Washington, D.C.


We are the only public school in the District of Columbia that offers the International Primary Curriculum, a highly engaging, diverse curriculum with project- and arts-based activities that foster creativity, self motivation, social and emotional development, and academic excellence. Our goal is to provide students with the foundational skills required for successful participation in a global society.

Our program’s unique combination of child-centered, international, and developmental approaches to education is based on extensive research into various aspects of schooling that have the greatest positive affects on academic achievement.

Upcoming Events at Creative Minds International PCS— Mark your calendars!

2013-14 ENROLLMENT LOTTERY - UPDATE

Thank you for your interest in our program. Families of students who were selected through the lottery were contacted by phone Friday, March 22. An offer letter was mailed to your home address Saturday, March 23. This letter contains your offer letter and the confirmation of single enrollment form that must be signed and received by us 5pm, Friday April 12th to secure your child's space for SY 2013/14. Enrollment packets will be sent to you April 17, 2013 and are due back to us Friday May 3, 2013 with all supporting documentation. Once the completed enrollment packet is received, enrollment for your child is confirmed.

Families of waitlisted children were sent a card to their home address in the mail Saturday, March 23 indicating their child's number on the waitlist. If your child moves to the top of the waitlist we will contact you.

 

 


Congratulations to Ms. Long and her 2nd grade class!

"Brownie Sundae Surprise" took 3rd place in the Sprinkles Cupcake Challenge. Creative Minds International PCS will receive a $250 donation plus a cupcake party for the second grade class. It was a very tight race and Sprinkles was overwhelmed by the all the support of all three schools. A big thank you to Sprinkles and congrats to the other two schools. 

Abram Simon Elementary School's "Bipartisan Cupcake" placed first and Elsie Whitlow Stoke's "Churro Cupcake" placed second.

In the meantime, feel free to pick up your groceries right around the corner in Mt. Pleasant or opt for home delivery.

When your child is going to be absent from school, please call our Absence Hotline and leave a message to explain your child's absence. Please note that a doctor's note will be requested if your child is absent for 3 or more days. The absence Hotline is 202-588-0370, Extension 118.
