Kindergarten Teacher Liz Rosenberg Coauthors Article on Thinking Routines

We’re #CMIProud of Creative Minds kindergarten teacher Liz Rosenberg for coauthoring “Teaching Kindergarteners Critical Thinking Skills,” an article from Next Generation Learning Challenges.

Ms. Rosenberg recently participated in the Deeper Learning Cohort at Two Rivers Public Charter School, where she and other educators from across Washington, DC, explored critical thinking and problem solving and learned how to implement thinking routines in their classrooms. Her contribution to the NGLC article describes the deeper thinking that has evolved among her students as they learn to think critically about topics, support their claims with evidence, and propose counterclaims. As she says, “I want my students to grow up to be contributing members of society, who can think critically about the world and express their ideas and beliefs with conviction and confidence.”
