The first day of school, when we’ll return to class for remote learning, is only ten days away, on Monday, August 31! We’re excitedly getting ready for the start of the year, and we’ve compiled resources to help you get ready, too.

Documents: Policies, Procedures & More
Welcome Packet: information for the virtual start of the year. We’ll share a new packet when we return to in-person learning.
Student & Family Handbook: a comprehensive overview of Creative Minds that includes school policies.
COVID Addendum: an addition to the Student & Family Handbook outlining changes to policies that have been adapted for remote learning.

Breakfast & Lunch: Enroll in Our Meal-Delivery Program
We’ve partnered with Top Spanish, a local caterer, to offer delivery of breakfast and lunch to Creative Minds students. To receive meals, enrollment in our meal-delivery program is required.
Through this program, breakfast and lunch will be free for students who qualify for free and reduced-price meals (FARM). Students who haven’t qualified for FARM will pay $5 per day for lunch and receive free breakfast.

Technology: WiFi Hot Spots & Interim Laptops
We’re sorry to report that iPads and Chromebook tablets and laptops will arrive after the start of the school year. In the meantime, we’re offering interim laptops to families that need them. WiFi hot spots are available to families that don’t have reliable internet connections.
Request an interim laptop, or a WiFi hot spot, by August 24, at 10:00 a.m. to pick up your device at a distribution event. (More information below.)

Distribution: Backpacks, WiFi Hot Spots & Interim Laptops
Our Ready to Learn Adventure Kits are pretty cool backpacks that contain books, school supplies, and documents for the first day of school.
Pick up your child’s backpack, and any interim laptop or WiFi hot spot that you requested by our deadline, at one of our socially distanced events on campus:
- Wednesday, August 26, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
- Thursday, August 27, 1:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
